Surveillance photo of the Tiger Bandit during his November 24 robbery of U.S. Bank in Long BeachThe FBI, in concert with the LBPD and other area police departments, is seeking a suspect or suspects wanted for perpetrating six bank robberies during the past week, including one at the U.S. Bank branch on Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach.

The FBI says that between November 23 and November 30 the suspect suspect entered banks in Cerritos, Long Beach, Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, and Lomita and demanded cash from tellers in various denominations.

Known as the “Tiger Bandit” for the Detroit Tigers baseball cap worn during each robbery, the suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male with a stocky build, dark complexion, and perhaps a skin condition. Investigators believe the Tiger Bandit may actually be two men working together but entering banks separately, as surveillance seem to confirm.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspect(s) is asked to call 1.888.CANT.HIDE (1.888.226.8443), or to dial 911.
