Dozens of restaurants will participate in the 28th annual Festival of Chefs, a picnic-style event featuring music and auctions hosted by ChildNet and the Long Beach Junior Chamber this Sunday from 4-7pm. Proceeds will benefit Long Beach’s Zinsmeyer Academy, which provides special education programs for the city’s at-risk youth. Tickets are available for $75 per person or $700 per table of ten, and all food and beverages are included.
And rest assured, there will be a wide variety of both to choose from. The festival’s theme is “The International Flavors of Long Beach,” and the Festival will hand out its first ever Honorary Chef award to Chef Andre Angles of Frenchy’s Bistro, a twelve-time participator in the Festival.
“I am deeply honored to receive the Honorary Chef award,” Angles said in a release. “I believe so strongly in the work that ChildNet offers our community, and its at-risk kids and families. I am more than happy to assist ChildNet with reaching their goals in any way that I can.”
The event will be held at the Zinsmeyer Academy, located at 4223 E. Anaheim Street.
