The 31st annual JetBlue Long Beach Marathon returns this Sunday, bringing with it inspirational and sweaty runners, old and new. Find out what streets to stay away from this weekend as participants run up to 26.2 miles under the sun for a good cause—in weather slated to be 10 degrees cooler than last year’s blistering-hot, 95-degree marathon day.
Activities begin Friday and conclude on Sunday, in the following order:
Friday, October 7
Health and Fitness Expo from noon to 7:00PM
Saturday, October 8
Health and Fitness Expo from 9:00AM to 6:00PM
Aquarium of the Pacific 5K at 7:00AM
Aquarium of the Pacific Kids Run at 9:00AM
Sunday, October 9
Bike Tour at 6:00AM
Marathon at 6:00AM
Half Marathon at 7:30AM
City officials advise the public that on Sunday, October 9, the route of the Long Beach Marathon will be cleared of any vehicles that are parked on the street. Vehicles parked on the street beginning at 12:01AM on Sunday, October 9, will be cited and towed.
