Five people have been displaced from their central Long Beach home after fire and smoke damaged their entire apartment and caused severe damage to at least two rooms, according to a new post on the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) blog.
The LBFD quickly responded to the call around 3:00pm yesterday and extinguished the blaze, and there were no injuries. The incident occurred on Olive Avenue, just a few blocks west of King Park.
The Red Cross has responded to provide food, clothing, shelter and other needs to the family—one adult and four children—and the Arson Bureau is currently investigating the cause of the fire and have not yet released any details.
