Dense fog rolls into Long Beach; forecasters expect more through Saturday morning

Dense, patchy fog in Long Beach this morning had visibility in some areas down to less than a quarter mile, according to the National Weather Service.

The fog rolled in overnight in Long Beach and other coastal areas around Los Angeles and Orange counties, but it was expected to burn off before 11 a.m., forecasters said.

NWS officials said it will likely return around 11 p.m. tonight until it burns off again late Saturday morning, the NWS said.
