literacy fairThe fourth annual Literacy Fair by the neighborhood organization AOC7 will be held Saturday, the organization announced. During the fair, children will be able to take home at least one book and enjoy live entertainment including multicultural dancing, music and food.

The event will take place from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at MacArthur Park, located at 1321 East Anaheim Street, on Saturday, May 21. Its focus is to promote grade level reading at the grassroots level, said AOC7 organizer Mary Simmons.

Organizers said AOC7 was founded to improve the overall quality of life within the community.
