Police are once again asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of stabbing a beloved liquor store owner near Downtown Long Beach early last year.

The attack occurred Jan. 30, 2022, at Frank’s Liquor in the 900 block of East Broadway.

The owner of the store, Kim Lee, was working that day when a man wearing a red Adidas tracksuit top walked into her store just before noon.

The man, according to police, started an altercation with Lee before stabbing her multiple times in the upper body and then fleeing on foot.

Lee was hospitalized as result of the attack, which left her partially paralyzed and requiring surgery for her injuries.

The suspect in Lee’s stabbing was described by police as being 6 feet 2 inches, 200 pounds with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red Adidas tracksuit top on the day of the attack.
