1:00am | To mark Earth Day this weekend, two e-waste drives will collect and recycle electronic equipment in east Long Beach on Saturday.
Instead of rotting in landfills, electronic waste can be brought to either the CSULB Pyramid parking lot (8:00am-2:00pm) or Emerson Parkside Academy Charter School (9:00am-3:00pm) to be recycled. Electronic waste includes devices like cellular phones, laptops or computer monitors, televisions, VCRs and digital camera. Hazardous waste like paint or solvents will not be accepted.
Emerson is located at 2625 Josie Avenue, near the intersection of Willow and Palo Verde.
The CSULB drive is hosted by Goodwill and will accept gently used clothing. The first four boxes at that drive are free of charge.
