Free health screenings and presentations designed for the city’s Cambodian community will be offered during the 14th annual Khmer Health Forum at St. Mary Medical Center this Saturday, Oct. 6.
The event, hosted by the Khmer Parent Association and the city’s Sixth Council District office, will include screenings for blood pressure and blood glucose levels, flu vaccinations and presentations in English and Khmer on orthodontic needs and treatment, healthcare choices, breast health education and St. Mary’s mammogram services.
Speakers include medical professionals from the Assistance League of Long Beach orthodontic program, the Cambodian Family Community Center and St. Mary’s Women’s Center.
The program will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with registration and breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided as well.
It will be held at Parr Health Enhancement Center in St. Mary’s, at 1055 Linden Ave. Carpool parking will cost $2 with validation.
