If you’re looking for creative ways to get in shape—instead of spending hundreds of dollars of your hard-earned money on a gym membership, only to walk away defeated, broke and unmotivated—head on over to Public Beer Wine Shop for a crowd-sourced slideshow full of new ideas on how to actively approach the city of Long Beach and make your city your gym. On Thursday, January 8 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, pave your own path for a better year with the tips and tricks you’ll surely be able to utilize on your road to a better You.

While our New Years resolutions to get fit can turn quickly into rainclouds, hovering like a guilt-ridden storm above our heads, City Fabrick wants to ensure you that the reason you don’t succeed is not where you live. Enjoy drinks and the company of fellow urbanerds as you learn how cities, large and small, are encouraging their citizens to be more physically active by taking advantage of their surrounding environment.

If you’d like to participate in the slideshow, please add pictures to the Facebook event or bring a USB drive of your pictures of getting physical in the city.

Public Beer Wine Shop is located at 121 West 4th St. Light snacks will be provided.
