In reaction to the impacts of the flooding that hit Long Beach in January 2010, we met with City of Long Beach emergency officials to better understand how the lbpost.com can best communicate information during an emergency. As a result of our meeting, the lbpost.com committed to:

1. Provide timely and correct information and a place where the public can share information.
2. Link our LBPOST911 page from our home page and also in every story about the emergency.
3. Provide current and up-to-date emergency contact information.
4. Update and link to non-lbpost.com coverage and information via our Twitter feed.

The development of this effort is in its first stages of design. We are looking to you to provide your feedback below on what you expect from us and don’t hold back on any ideas – we are open to them all!
