6th District Resource Guide Cover

6th District Resource Guide CoverLast week, Sixth District Councilmember Dee Andrews announced the release and distribution of his district’s first-ever resource guide—an unprecedented list of useful information on the area’s services and businesses.

Titled “6th District – Midtown Gives Back Resource Guide,” the booklet is available for download directly from the Sixth District’s website. This is the first disctirct-specific guide in the city and contains a comprehensive catalog of everything from free health centers and pharmacies to places of worship, recreational sites and assistance facilities for seniors and teens.

Created by Sixth District office intern King Chan, the booklet is not only a reference for residents and visitors looking for the nearest supermarket. With information about education providers as well as local employment and apprenticeship opportunities, the guide is a new way to enhance the lives of everyone in the Sixth District community.

“As a dedicated contributor of the resource guide, I know that it will spread awareness throughout the community, especially to those that are in need of the free services that are offered,” said Andrews. “My hope is that this will continue to enhance the lives of everyone in the 6th District.”

The guide will be revised annually. Any additions or comments are appreciated.
