3:22pm | Long Beach resident and Executive Vice President of the Long Beach Lambda Democratic Club, Herlinda Chico announced her campaign today for Long Beach’s Fourth City Council District. The district includes the neighborhoods of Los Altos, the Traffic Circle/Stearns Park area, Recreation Park Neighborhood, the West Eastside Community (WESCA) and the East Anaheim Business Corridor.
“I am running for the Long Beach City Council to continue the great work that has already been done,” said Chico. “As a homeowner and long-time resident of Long Beach, I look forward to fighting for the residents of the Fourth District on the City Council and bringing my extensive background of work in local government, business, and non-profits to the table.” Chico’s agenda includes fighting for public safety and infrastructure needs such as potholes and tree repairs.
She currently serves as the Executive Assistant at Central City East, Los Angeles’ largest non-profit Business Improvement District, overseeing the success and promotion of nearly 1,300 business’ and as the Executive Vice President of the Long Beach Lambda Democratic Club, where she manages the annual Human Rights Banquet.
