10:59am | Traffic on the southbound and northbound I-405 freeway will be shifted to the newly paved outside lanes of the freeway, Friday night, Oct. 14, Saturday night, Oct. 15 and Sunday night, Oct. 16. This traffic shift will allow construction crews to begin working in the freeway median, to add additional lanes to the I-405 freeway and to reconstruct the 7th Street Connector bridge.
This work will require nighttime closures of portions of the northbound and southbound I-405 from Seal Beach Boulevard to the I-605, between 11:00pm and 5:00am.
The southbound I-405 will be closed from 11:00pm, Friday, Oct. 14 until 5:00am, Saturday, Oct. 15, from the I-605 freeway interchange to Seal Beach Boulevard.
Detour: From the southbound I-405, exit Studebaker Road, turn right on Studebaker Road and proceed south, turn left on 2nd Street / Westminster Avenue:
Continue east on Westminster Avenue to access the southbound I-405 on-ramp
Continue east on Westminster Avenue and turn left on Goldenwest Street to access the eastbound SR-22 on-ramp
The northbound I-405 will be closed nightly, Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16, from 11:00pm to 5:00am, between Seal Beach Boulevard and the I-605 freeway interchange.
Detour: From the northbound I-405, exit Westminster Avenue, turn left on Westminster Avenue and proceed west:
Turn right on Studebaker Road, continue north to access the northbound I-405 on-ramp
Turn right on Seal Beach Boulevard, continue north on Seal Beach Boulevard / Los Alamitos Boulevard, turn left on Katella Avenue to access the northbound I-605 on-ramp
In addition, there will be an extended closure of the southbound I-405 to eastbound SR-22 connector, from 10:00pm, Friday, Oct. 14 until 10:00am, Saturday, Oct. 15.
