CalTrans has announced that the I-710 Freeway will close for improvements for the next eleven days as part of the I-710 Long Life Pavement Project. These closures and construction work occur during late night and early morning hours, between 11:00pm and 6:00am each day. Construction began last night and will continue until 6:00am on Monday, September 28.

Repaving, lane-widening and other services will be performed on the roads with the goal of repairing damage and extending the freeway’s useful life. Here are the portions that will undergo construction.

Northbound And Southbound I-710 Lanes:

  • Up to 3 lanes between Wardlow Road and Firestone Boulevard
  • Up to 5 lanes between Alondra Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue

I-710 RAMPS:

  • Alondra Boulevard, Artesia Boulevard, Del Amo Boulevard, Firestone Boulevard, Long Beach Boulevard, Rosecrans Avenue, Wardlow Road.

I-710 CONNECTORS:

  • Eastbound and westbound SR-91 to northbound and southbound I-710
  • Eastbound and westbound SR-105 to northbound and southbound I-710
  • Northbound and southbound I-405 to northbound I-710
  • Northbound I-710 to eastbound and westbound SR-91
  • Northbound I-710 to northbound I-405
