In a show of support for the City of Boston following the tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon yesterday, Long Beach has come together to support the east coast city in various ways.
This morning, the Long Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau altered their sign in front of the Performing Arts Center to simply read, “LB ❤ Boston” and an online “LB ❤ B” campaign launched by Living Long Beach has gained enough followers to warrant printing t-shirts. By evening Monday, a logo combining a serif-font “LB” and the “B” from the Boston Red Sox logo created by the community group had been shared nearly 400 times on Facebook.
After so much positive feedback from the design, Living Long Beach asked its followers Tuesday morning if people would be interested in having t-shirts printed with the proceeds going back to Boston. Within three hours, the post had hundreds of likes and more than 40 comments saying “yes.”
We’ve had great feedback about our LB <3 B design & are thinking about printing t-shirts with proceeds going back… fb.me/15JAFVRkU
