After an unprecedented year, thousands of friends and family gathered to celebrate Millikan High School’s 65th graduation ceremony on Tuesday night at Long Beach Veterans Stadium.
Two months ago, graduates were unsure whether they would be able to gather in person, but 847 students got the chance to walk the stage, including 77 students recognized with honors for having a 4.0 GPA (they got to wear gold robes).
Graduates set the tone with speeches with messages of hope for the future and songs sung by the Millikan High School Vocal Ensemble. Millikan students will be attending over 70 colleges and universities next fall.
Tassels were turned and hats were tossed and the Millikan High School class of 2021 walked through the stadium tunnel and onto the next chapter of their future.
