A suspected child molester from Home Gardens was arrested at a Long Beach restaurant last week after riverside County Sherrif’s Department detectives learned he had moved out of the Inland Empire.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release, Austreberto Ochoa, 55, was wanted in connection with several allegations of child molestation that occurred in the area of Home Gardens, a small neighborhood between the cities of Corona and Riverside. During the investigation into an alleged Oct. 3 incident, detectives were able to locate several more victims who had been molested by the suspect.
On Tuesday, November 20, detectives learned that Ochoa had moved to Long Beach, where he was arrested at an unnamed restaurant. It is unknown what part of Long Beach he was living in or how long he was in town.
Ochoa was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of lewd acts on a child.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is requesting if anyone has had similar contacts with Ochoa while he was in Long Beach or has additional information regarding the suspect to contact Detective Gasparini at (951) 955-2600.
