9:42 am | President and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Javier Palomarez will be speaking today, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 a The Westin Long Beach for the President’s Distinguished Speakers Series. The Long Beach Community College District is presenting the invitation-only event.
Palomarez will be speaking about the growing value of Hispanic businesses in our economy nationally, and about how the Hispanic business market will uniquely influence the future economy.
Some of his accomplishments include initiating the industry’s first fully-integrated, nationwide Hispanic marketing, sales, and service campaign while at Allstate Insurance Corporation. Following his tenure at Allstate, Palomarez was recruited by Sprint, Inc, where he rose through the ranks to become the Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations.
Palomarez has been appointed to the National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise by United States Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke, and also serves on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Advisory Board, as well as the Comcast National Hispanic Advisory Council. He also serves on Senator Robert Menendez’s Working Group on Corporate Diversity and is a director of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR).
He was recently named “One of the 75 Most Influential Hispanics” by PODER Magazine.

Prior to the USHCC, Javier Palomarez served as Vice President of Multicultural Marketing at ING Financial Services, where he was recruited to lead diversity outreach programs. He was responsible for marketing, sponsorships, public relations and external communications to help position this global leader in the financial services industry.
