I’m not exactly sure when this first aired, but KTLA has posted a video report about the pollution and debris that washes down the Los Angeles River and into Long Beach waters, with Eric Spillman on scene near the Queen Mary.  We told you about the story on Tuesday, here

True, it’s always nice when the issue gets out to a larger audience.  But this is a problem that the city of Long Beach has been discussing for some time.  Stories like this one are done practically once a year, during the rainy season.  Then the rest of the County goes back to forgetting about the Southland’s horrid water quality until the next Winter.  News reports are great, but what (if anything) is being done to solve the problem?

Hopefully, people throughout L.A. County will become aware of the problem and realize that their trash goes somewhere, and ends up on someone’s beaches.
