11:45am | Motorists in the Port of Long Beach’s southeast area — near the Port Administration Building — should be aware of temporary lane closures on north Harbor Scenic Drive and Harbor Plaza in the month of April.

The roads will not be completely closed at any time, and access to all Port tenants, hospitality businesses and other sites will remain open.

Please be aware, however, that on Harbor Scenic just south of Harbor Plaza, crews will close off one of the three northbound lanes. Workers are removing landscaping adjacent the Queen Mary parking lot to make way for new power poles. The area will be replanted at a later date. The lane is expected to be closed throughout April.

Lane closures on Harbor Plaza between Pico Avenue and Harbor Scenic will continue through April and into May. The southeast side of the road is closed, but the other side has been converted into a two-way road. Motorists are asked to please be attentive to the temporary traffic signs.

Access to the Port Administration Building’s driveways will remain open throughout. Harbor Plaza lanes were being closed to make way for a waterline replacement.
