A Las Vegas man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday night following a physical altercation with another man in Long Beach’s California Heights neighborhood, police said.

Wubay Shin White, 22, was arrested and booked for one count each of attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm, according to the Long Beach Police Department. His bail was set at $1 million, according to the LBPD.

Police responded to the shooting around 11:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Wardlow Road where they located bullet casings. Officers discovered during a preliminary investigation that White and another man were in a fight that eventually escalated, with both men shooting at each other and missing, according to the LBPD. No injuries were reported, police said.

White was arrested around 11:43 p.m. near 36th Street and Atlantic Avenue, a couple of blocks away from where the shooting occurred, according to the LBPD. Police said White was carrying a firearm when they found him.

Police are still looking for the second man involved in the shooting, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing.
