Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies pursued a “dangerous suspect” in a pickup truck on the 605 Freeway to the Long Beach Towne Center this afternoon, where they were taken into custody, according to local news sources.

Sheriff’s deputies began pursuing the suspects in a lifted pickup truck on the northbound 605 Freeway near the 91 Freeway in the Lakewood area about 2:15 p.m.

The pursuit, which at one point involved the suspects driving against traffic on the freeway, ended with sheriff’s deputies arresting three individuals, according to KTLA News. KTLA reported someone in the truck was wanted for murder, but more details weren’t immediately available.

Deputies took the people into custody after the truck exited the freeway and stopped in the middle of the busy shopping center around 2:30 p.m.
