
Supporters of the Long Beach City College Bond campaign gathered together for the opening of the campaign office and the launch of the Yes On Measure E website – supportlbccstudents.com.
President Eloy Oakley, Board President Doug Otto and Trustees Tom Clark, Mark Bowen, Roberto Uranga and Jeff Kellogg joined LBCC students and staff at the new campaign headquarters located at 2735 Carson Ave, just blocks from the City College Liberal Arts Campus.
Students and alumni attended the kick-off and made phone calls to voters and local supporters. The $440 million measure is on the February 5th ballot.
Local supporters include Mayor Bob Foster, Supervisor Don Knabe, Senators Alan Lowenthal and Jenny Oropeza, Assemblymember Betty Karnette and the Long Beach Police Officers Association.
