Long Beach City College will induct four new members to its Hall of Fame at a special ceremony this Friday, November 2, at the Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood. The ceremony and lunch will begin at noon.
The LBCC Alumni Association Hall of Fame honors alumni who have made outstanding achievements in their chosen career field, service to the community, and/or area of endeavor. Since its inception in 1972, 125 former students have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees include former CSULB administrator Dr. Stuart Farber, sports and litigation attorney Richard Foster, retired LBUSD administrator Joan Hansen and award-winning photographer Leo Hetzel.
Past recipients of this prestigious honor include Emmy nominated actor John Amos, comedian Paul Rodriguez, and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Pat Keller McCormick, screen star Barbara Britton, former Long Beach Mayor Beverly O’Neill, and syndicated radio DJ Jim Ladd.
