lbpost.com is in the middle of an exciting period of change. We have been thrilled with the positive feedback and rapid rate of growth, both of which have convinced us that expansion is needed. For that reason, we are proud to announce the addition of a managing editor, along with three local columnists.

In addition to running the site’s Sports Book column, Ryan ZumMallen will now take on the duties of Managing Editor. Please join us in welcoming Ryan as he embarks on this exciting and challenging task.

In Moving Green, Nancy Pfeffer comments on transportation in the city, and will use her background in public policy to explain its effect on the environment. In our new Design in Place column, architect and city planner Brian Ulaszewski will emphasize the high and low-lights of design in our city. With years of extensive political campaign experience, Randy Terell brings his knowledge to the Political Notebook column – aimed at chronicling the shifts of political power and how they affect change in Long Beach. Please extend congratulations to our new posters as they begin their time with us.

In six short months, lbpost.com has grown larger and more quickly than we could have imagined. We’re working hard to bring you instant news and original content from local columnists, with expertise in nearly all aspects of life here in Long Beach. Join us, and stay tuned as we continue to explore new ways to keep you connected.

Thank you,

Robert & Shaun
