According to Advocate Magazine, the first openly gay cadets graduated yesterday from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, eight months after the repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy took effect. In addition, the graduation featured an address by President Barack Obama. Obama focused his speech on the “new feeling about America” that has been generated around the world during his term, having graduates that — for the first time a decade — will not face war in Iraq.
