Vice-Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal received the endorsement of the Long Beach Democratic Club over Councilmember Tonia Reyes-Uranga in the race for the 54th Assembly. Lowenthal received 73% of the vote at the endorsement meeting and will go head-to-head with Reyes-Uranga in the June primary. The winner will face the Republican nominee in November.
