Long Beach officials today unveiled a new monument sign at the entrance to Long Beach Airport, paying homage to the DC-3 aircraft and the airport’s aviation history.

The sign will welcome visitors to LGB and increase the airport’s presence from Lakewood Boulevard, officials said.
