Travelers flying out of Long Beach Airport and its employees can now get a COVID-19 test for $20 at one of the two labs at the airport.

Health providers CityHealth Urgent Care and Worksite Labs partnered with the airport to administer the tests at drive-through kiosks for people with appointments. Test results are given within 72 hours, according to airport officials.

The testing locations are located near the airport’s main entrance at 4100 Donald Douglas Drive.

The airport recently expanded three non-stop flights to Hawaii last week, one to Maui with Hawaiian Airlines and one each to Honolulu and Maui on Southwest Airlines.

Hawaiian health officials are currently exempting visitors and returning residents from quarantine if they obtain a negative pre-travel COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours before their scheduled departure time.

Covid Clinic, a health provider that was previously conducting COVID-19 tests at the airport, is not listed on Hawaii’s approved testing partner list LGB spokesperson Kate Kuykendall wrote in an email. The addition of CityHealth guarantees travelers to Hawaii will receive a test Hawaiian health officials approve.

“Travelers who are trying to coordinate having Covid test results prior to their trip, can assure results back within the guaranteed parameters,” Kuykendall said. “Finally, many people find the convenience of booking an appointment and getting tested at our location to be a plus. The pricing is very competitive for on-airport testing sites.”

Book a test

Passengers with a test appointment and a booked flight can get a test from CityHealth daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Passengers can book an appointment by clicking here.

For passengers flying exclusively with Hawaiian Airlines, Worksite Labs, is conducting tests daily from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m., by appointment only. Hawaiian Airlines passengers can book an appointment here.

Tests are also open to any employee of a company located on airport property, Kuykendall said.

That could be airport employees or partner employees, such as airline employees or any of the many businesses who lease from the Airport,” Kuykendall said.
