3:02pm | Representatives from the Orange County Transportation Authority will join Long Beach City Councilman Patrick O’Donnell at his “Chat with Pat” meeting this afternoon to discuss impending freeway closures and detours.
The meeting is being held at the Los Altos Library, 5614 Britton, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
OCTA representatives will discuss the upcoming freeway closures and detours as part of the West County Connectors Project.
This project has been discussed at previous “Chat with Pat” meetings, and residents were informed that they would receive subsequent updates from the Transportation Authority at future meetings.
The project will require the rerouting of freeway traffic onto local surface streets through portions of Long Beach adjacent to the 405.
“These closures and detours will have an impact on many local residents,” O’Donnell said. “This is an excellent opportunity to ask direct questions about this closure and get informed about OCTA’s plans and detour routes.”
