A 60-year-old Long Beach man died yesterday from injuries he sustained when he was struck by a sedan while crossing a street in the city’s Zaferia neighborhood Saturday evening, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Long Beach resident Minh H. Do, 60, died Sunday, September 25 at a local hospital, authorities said.

Police said on Saturday, September 24 at about 6:43PM Do was walking eastbound across Redondo Avenue, north of 11th Street, in a marked crosswalk when a 2013 Acura TSX traveling in the #1 lane southbound Redondo Avenue, south of Anaheim Street, collided with Do.

The driver, identified only as a 37-year-old Los Angeles resident, remained at the scene.

Do sustained significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) paramedics.
