In a sign of further reopening amid loosened COVID-19 restrictions, Long Beach on Monday, May 24, will begin issuing reservation permits for local amenities such as picnic groves, bandshells and amphitheaters.

The move comes as the city entered the “yellow tier” of the state’s reopening plan, which allows groups of fewer than 100 people to gather at outdoor park sites.

Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance of gatherings at picnic sites at El Dorado Park West, including Willow Grove; bandshells at Bixby and Recreation parks; the Cesar E. Chavez Park Amphitheater; and picnic groves at El Dorado Regional Park.
