The Covid Clinic, a nonprofit founded by a Huntington Beach doctor, is now offering rapid COVID-19 testing at a drive-up site in the Queen Mary parking lot.

The tests cost $150 and can provide results in about 60 minutes. The clinic will offer 500 tests daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  at 1126 Queens Hwy. The new Queen Mary location is in addition to the city’s free public testing sites, which have a total capacity of 1,400 tests per day.

“Testing continues to be critical to containing the spread of COVID-19,” Mayor Robert Garcia said in a statement. “We will continue working with our local partners to build out a testing network that makes testing available to anyone who needs a test.”

The cost of testing can be submitted for reimbursement through a patient’s health insurance.

There are now several ways for a person to be tested for COVID-19 in Long Beach, including through medical providers, at CVS and Rite Aid, at City-and State-operated testing sites and via mobile testing. Details regarding all testing options are available online.
