The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate an 11-year-old at-risk boy who has run away in the past.

Se Amaj Washington was last seen Sunday about 2:15 p.m. leaving his foster home on a black-and-red BMX bicycle — possibly heading for the city of Compton, according to police.

Washington was described as 4 feet, 9 inches tall, 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray Nike hoodie, blue Nike shorts, gray Nike Jordan shoes and a red-and-black backpack.

Authorities said Washington has no cell phone or other tracking device on his person, but may have some amount of money and may be carrying miscellaneous weapons in his backpack.

He has run away before and been found in the local area, police said.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call the LBPD Missing Persons Detail at 562-570-7246 or LBPD Dispatch at 562-435-6711.
