A law enforcement career fair will be held Saturday at the Long Beach Police Academy, officials from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) and Civil Service Department announced.

The event will offer information on career opportunities with the LBPD—including police recruitment, public safety dispatcher (911 operators), special services officer, and various forensics positions.

There will also be information on the police department’s volunteer program.

Attendees will be able to check out LBPD’s helicopter, “Fox,” and see displays by SWAT, K-9, motors, and the Public Safety Dive Team.

The event will be held Saturday, June 27, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. The Academy is located at 7290 East Carson Street, behind the Lowe’s at the Long Beach Towne Center.
