Long Beach police reported a shooting and stabbing Friday, neither of them fatal.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the area of the 3300 block of Andy Street near the Lakewood Regional Medical Center at 8:15 p.m, police said.

Police located a 17-year old boy with a gunshot wound to the foot. He was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury to his foot, according to police.

Although the investigation is ongoing, police said they believe the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.

About an hour later, police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 400 block of W. Pacific Coast Highway near the Washington neighborhood.

Officers located a man who had been stabbed in the upper body, police said, and he was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
