A man was fatally shot in Long Beach on Monday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).
Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fifth Street at 9:51PM on Monday, September 7, where they discovered the victim struck by gunfire in the upper body, officials said.
Long Beach paramedics transported the man in critical condition to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The name of the man—who is described as in his 30s—is being withheld pending notification of his relatives.
Authorities do not know the motive of the shooting and no suspect information is available at this time.
