3:45pm | Police yesterday seized 13 pounds of cocaine and 126 pounds of methamphetamine worth more than $10 million yesterday from one home in Long Beach and one in Compton.
The amount of methamphetamine recovered is the largest in the history of the Long Beach Police Department.
A 40-year old male and 37-year old female from Long Beach were arrested, as was a 46-year old male from Compton. The Long Beach location at Magnolia and Pacific Coast Highway yielded the meth while the Compton location at Santa Fe and Rosecrans housed the cocaine. The three suspects were arrested for intent to distribute.
The bust was the result of a year-long investigation into narcotics distribution in Long Beach by the Drug Investigations Section of the Long Beach Police Department.
The police department urges the community to report drug activity to its Narcotics Hotline at 562.570.7125. Callers may remain anonymous or leave their number for a detective to return the call.
