Record high temperatures were reported in parts ofLos Angeles County, the National Weather Service is reporting today.
It was 95 degrees at Long Beach Airport Wednesday, tying a record set in 1981.
It was 94 at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, breaking the record of 93 set in 1981.
Highs are expected to be in the mid to upper 80s today in Los Angeles and Long Beach.
In Anaheim, it was 99 on Wednesday, breaking the record high of 93 set in 2016. Anaheim also reported a record high minimum temperature. It was 69, breaking the record of 66 set in 2017.
Temperatures are expected to cool down after Thursday, with highs in the upper 60s predicted for Saturday and Sunday—and even a 30% chance of rain in Long Beach Saturday evening, according to the NWS.
