Long Beach Transit to offer free transportation on Election Day

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, Long Beach Transit will offer free transportation to encourage voters to get to the polls, the agency announced today.

“We continue our mission of making everyday life better by getting people to the polls on Election Day,” President and CEO Kenneth A. McDonald said in a statement. “Whether you are dropping off a ballot or voting in person, LBT will get you there. Please consider using public transportation to have your voice be heard.”

In addition to its regularly scheduled, fixed-route bus service, Long Beach Transit will offer free rides for its eligible Dial-A-Lift customers, which is Long Beach Transit’s paratransit service for those with permanent mobility impairments.

To plan your trip, download the free Moovit App or visit www.ridelbt.com.
