Democratic candidate for the 54th Assembly District seat Bonnie Lowenthal will host a headquarters open house celebration this Saturday to begin the final stage of her campaign to the November election. Her staff invites the public to meet the City Councilmember from 10am-12pm at the 2115 Bellflower Blvd. office.
Lowenthal won a June primary election against fellow Councilmember Tonia Reyes Uranga, to put her in the running for the general seat election against Republican primary winner Gabriella Holt and Libertarian John Kling.
“I want our campaign headquarters to be a hub of activity and excitement as we work together toward victory in November,” Lowenthal said in a press release.
The 54th District seat is left open with the imminent departure of Betty Karnette, who has reached her term limit in the position. The District includes Long Beach, Signal Hill, a portion of San Pedro, Catalina Island and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
