Yesterday in the late morning, officers arrived to the 1300 block of Temple Avenue near Anaheim Street in regard to a shooting.
The victim, identified as 43-year-old Jasper Dukes of Las Vegas, was found deceased in his parked car with multiple bullet wounds piercing his upper body. As to why Dukes was in Long Beach or why he was waiting in his car has yet to be determined, according to LBPD spokesperson Lisa Massacani. It is also unclear as to whether or not the incident was gang related.
