A man was hospitalized Friday morning following a crash in North Long Beach that escalated into a shooting, police say.
Police say the man was driving a car and got involved in a crash with another vehicle just after 6 a.m. near the area of 60th Street and Atlantic Avenue.
That’s when the man got out of his vehicle. He was then struck by the driver of the other car again, and then was shot, police said.
Authorities responded to the scene and transported the man to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
At this time, there is no additional suspect or vehicle information, according to police, though officers continue to canvas the crime scene and look for possible video evidence.
