Long Beach police are investigating after a man was stabbed near Edison Elementary School on Saturday night, according to authorities.
Around 10:55 p.m. Saturday, Long Beach police officers responded to a hospital in San Pedro regarding a stabbing that had taken place.
Officers found that a man had checked himself into the hospital after he was stabbed in the upper body around 10:20 p.m. when he was in the area of Seventh Street and Golden Avenue, which is near Edison Elementary School.
Police said the man was uncooperative with the investigation, and there is no suspect information available. The motive for the stabbing is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
