UPDATED April 15 | The victim in the shooting at a 7th and Alamitos Ave. gas station last week was identified today as 23 year-old Prince Carlos Mollett of Long Beach. The suspect is still at large and is is unknown if it is gang related.

ORIGINAL April 11 | A suspect is still at large in a shooting incident tonight that left one man dead at a local gas station. Early information from police indicate that at about 7:30PM, officers were dispatched to the area of 7th St. and Alamitos Ave. in response to a shooting.
The vicim, who is only being identified as an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. In news helicopter footage, police cars could be seen surrounding the gas station that is at the intersection where 7th St. crosses Alamitos Ave. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Several residents who live nearby reported hearing gunshots followed by police helicopters overhead.
The suspect is still at large and the area is being searched for a possible suspect, said Marlene Arrona with the Long Beach Police Department. it is unknown if the incident was gang related.
