5:45pm |A shooting that took place early Monday afternoon sent a man in his 20s to the hospital, police said.
The victim was hanging out in front of his apartment complex in the 2200 block of Locust Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. when the suspect walked up, shot the victim and then fled on foot, according to the Press Telegram.
Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt told the PT that the victim was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. She also reportedly said that the victim was not cooperating with police in terms of providing a description of the suspect.
