Long Beach police say a man was shot overnight in the Willmore area but refused to tell officers details about the crime.

The shooting occurred sometime around 12:40 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

When officers arrived in the area, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Police say the man was uncooperative and would not provide a statement to officers about the shooting.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital where he was treated for wounds that weren’t life-threatening, according to the LBPD.

At this time, there is no suspect information, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
