Man wounded in shooting near Rose Park neighborhood, police say

Police say a man was injured early Tuesday morning after being shot near Long Beach’s Rose Park neighborhood.

The shooting took place around 1:06 a.m. in the 2800 block of East Seventh Street.

There, police located a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the lower body. He was then transported by Long Beach Fire Department personnel to a local hospital, police said, adding that his injuries were not life-threatening.
