Mayor Bob Foster’s proposed parcel tax that will fix several areas of Long Beach’s infrastructure if approved received a boost yesterday with the launch of rebuildlb.com, a support website that offers information on the measure. The home page features links to five different areas of the city that will be improved if the measure passes:
– Coastal Water Quality
– Streets, Sidewalks & Alleys
– Public Safety Facilities
– Library & Health Facilities
– Parks & Recreation Facilities
The most interesting feature on the site allows viewers to submit photos of the area that they would like to see fixed under Measure I. Photos that others have submitted can be viewed, and one “I-Sore of the Week” will be chosen as the best photo each week.
Also included on the homepage is a video interview with Mayor Foster, conducted by the Press-Telegram, that focuses on the measure and the effect it will have on Long Beach.
